Belt Drier

The Perry Belt Drier is ideally suited to drying almost any non-flowing product or more granular products that require a lower throughput capacity. Popular applications have included woodchip, sawdust, shavings, anaerobic digestate, grass/Lucerne/hemp, SRF, RDF, seeds & many others.

Air is drawn down through the product bed which keeps the product tight to the belt, improving drying efficiency & reducing product loss through fans via product lift.


  • Available in widths of 1.5m, 2.2m & 3.0m and lengths of up to 75m.
  • Modular construction allows the driers to be extended easily at a later date, allowing your drier to grow with your business.
  • Automatic tracking is standard to ensure the belt stays aligned without any manual input.
  • Slow-moving parts reduce the wear on parts meaning less maintenance.
  • A tightly woven, anti-static polymer belt that can withstand temperatures up to 130°C allows for very few fines to slip through the belt, meaning less product loss and less cleaning up required.
  • Automatic control as standard will speed up and slow down the belt to help ensure even product drying. As the hot air temperature rises below the belt it will speed the belt up automatically to help ensure you don’t over-dry your product and counter to that, it will slow the belt down as the below-the-belt temperature falls.
  • There are no chains, slats or louvres for the product to get caught in. This keeps the grain drier very clean and reduces damage to the material being dried.
  • The in-house designed and programmed PLC panel is easy to use and provides data at the touch of a button.
  • An Internet connection allows remote access and control of the grain drier from a smartphone or desktop PC. Internet connectivity allows for Perry engineers to remotely diagnose any issues.

Tower Driers

Perry of Oakley Mistral Series Grain Drier

The Mistral Series Continuous Mixed Flow Drier is a cost effective solution, designed to be an entry level static drier for farmers looking to dry up to 30tph of combinable crops.

Grain is elevated to the top of the drier column and enters the drier tower through the reserve section. When in full operation the entire drying column is filled with grain; discharge of dried grain occurs via a roller discharge to provide a constant flow of grain. This results in grain gradually working its way down the drying column, firstly in contact with hot air, then cooling air for the last 25-30% of the column. The discharged grain is then both of the correct moisture content and temperature for long term storage.

The design of the drier is such that the grain column is completely ledge free reducing dust and chaff residue. The tapered design of the air ducts promote even airflow and ensure uniform drying across the whole grain column.


  • Burner and fuel options – diesel, kerosene, gas steam, coal using heat exchangers or biomass heat sources as options (direct or indirect fired).
  • Highly efficient axial flow fans – Optional inverter-controlled fans for ease of control when drying light crops and for energy saving.
  • Discharge – the Mistral range of grain driers are fitted with Perry’s proven roller discharge.
  • CentriKleen – the cost-effective, simple solution to dust and chaff problems, which can be fitted to existing axial fans on all makes of driers.
  • Fire detection – can help provide early warning of a fire, helping to reduce potential damage to the drier. It is for use to detect fire within a grain drier drying column.

Mobile Belt Driers

The AGREX Mobile Drier range spans 5 to 55 cubic M and are a high specification drier supplied in a durable painted finish for use inside or out.


  • Range spans from 5 to 55 cubic M.
  • Models from 7.5 to 25T have a unique external auger which gives easy access for servicing and maintenance.
  • Semi-automatic or fully automatic control panels to allow unattended operation and remote connectivity via a mobile network for real time drier status updates.
  • The external auger allows the drier to have an independent mixer in the bottom and a control slide to control the rate of grain mixing.
  • The patented stainless steel heat exchanger option has the ability to change from direct to indirect fired and still provide the full range of drying temperatures and efficiencies.
  • The smaller driers are available as a PTO driven option with onboard generator for the electrical components.

Suitable Products

  • The 1.5mm stainless steel screen means the drier is suitable for oil seed rape and most UK combinable crops.
  • There are fewer motors which means more reliability and a smaller electrical requirement which is important for some farms.
  • Large inlet tipping hopper or an option for filling by a mechanical intake conveyor and elevator combination.
  • For added safety and control of the process there are three temperature sensors, one for hot air temperature, one for hot grain temperature and an additional failsafe alarm temperature sensor.
  • The 1.5mm stainless steel screen means the drier is suitable for oil seed rape and most UK combinable crops.
  • Dual point aspiration fitted as an optional extra.
